Tangshi Street is filled with numerous shops. There are New Year painting workshops, traditional candied hawthorn stores by ancient methods, Jiankun Tang lantern shops, Falanjv, etc. It not only has traditional handicrafts commonly found locally such as lanterns, kites, and paper-cuttings, but also gathers old artisans who make haircuts, shoes and hats, and ready-made clothes. There are even workshops with complex crafts such as Sima’s small distilled liquor workshop and Yongshun dyeing workshop. Almost all these shops exist in the ancient form of ‘front store and back workshop’. Tourists can not only enter the store to buy goods but also experience the production process in the back hall.
