Tangdou Spring is located at the site of Tangdou Temple in Huolu Village, Ganggou Sub-district, Licheng District, Jinan. According to legend, it is named because people are grateful that the cave here once flowed out beans to supply food and provisions for the soldiers of the Li and Tang dynasties. Now the spring source is on the rock wall. The water flows out from the rock crevice and passes through a rectangular pool built by chiseling stones. It flows northward along the mountain and converges into the reservoir intercepted by a stone dam. Beside the spring, there is a tall and straight ancient ginkgo tree.
