As a rural tourist attraction in Tangkou, Kaiping, Tianxia Granary has not been overly developed. It tries to restore its original appearance as much as possible and retain the original rural flavor. Tianxia Granary is entirely made of ancient building materials and traditional handicrafts. It has used more than one million blue bricks that are over a hundred years old. All production tools and daily necessities are original old items. The agricultural exhibits and wonderful historical and cultural picture displays in the granary can allow tourists to experience the unique rural culture and the interesting construction history of the granary in half a day. Tianxia Granary was originally the granary and office area of Tangkou Grain Depot. It covers a total area of about 13.5 mu and consists of five granaries in the ‘yurt style’ built in the 1960s, grain processing workshops, dormitory buildings, office buildings, and old agricultural machinery stations. Open all year round and open all day.
