Tanglang Mountain Country Park is located in the northeastern part of Nanshan District, Shenzhen. The north side of the mountain is bordered by the Pingnan Railway, the south by Beihuan Avenue and Longzhu Avenue, the west end is at Honghualin, and the east extends into the Futian District. To the north, one can see the Xili Reservoir, Changlingpi Reservoir, Yangtaishan, and Shenzhen Wild Animal Park; to the south, one overlooks Shenzhen Bay and Overseas Chinese Town.

The total area is approximately 15,000 acres. Tanglang Mountain, with its main peak at an elevation of 430.8 meters, is higher than the 336-meter Da Nanshan but lower than the three main peaks of Wutong Mountain, which have an average elevation of 780 meters. Halfway up the mountain, one can already see the boundary river between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, get a full view of the Nanshan and Futian districts, and feel the extremely ‘wide and flat’ terrain of Shenzhen.

Climbing to the top of Tanglang Mountain allows one to enjoy the harmonious integration of mountains, city, and sea within and outside the special economic zone. If one climbs to the top at night, they will be presented with a magnificent night view of Shenzhen: a vast sea of lights, flickering shadows, and the intersection of several major roads such as Longzhu Avenue, Beihuan Avenue, Guangshen Expressway, Shennan Avenue, Binhai Avenue, and Shahe West Road, which fully display the elegance and prosperity of Shenzhen’s Nanshan and Futian districts.

On a large rock at the top of the mountain, there are two striking sentences: ‘Climbing mountains can cure all diseases, and all diseases fear climbing mountains.’ The park is open all day from January 1st to December 31st.
