According to ancient texts, a clear hot spring flows from the edge of a deep pool at the foot of the mountain, with a temperature suitable for bathing. The term ‘Tang’ in ancient times referred to bathing water, hence this clear spring was named Tang Stream, which is now known as Tangmu Garden. Tangmu Garden Hot Spring is currently the first forest-based hot spring in Asia, open throughout the year for both winter and summer seasons.
