Taoranting Park is a garden-style park built with Taoranting, one of the ‘Four Famous Pavilions’, as the center. The center of the park is a green lake with weeping willows around, creating a beautiful environment. In addition to Taoranting, many pavilions of historical fame from all over the country have been built by imitation. Walking in the park allows you to see famous pavilions across the country.

Taoranting Park is not large. Its length and width are both about 1 kilometer. The park has entrances in several directions of east, west, south, and north. After entering, you can walk around and play. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to play. The center of the park is a circular lake with a lake center island. In addition to the lake area and the lake center island, the surrounding areas are roughly divided into three parts: southwest side, southeast side, and north side.

In summer, take a cruise. In winter, skate on the lake. The circular lake is divided into three parts: East Lake, West Lake, and South Lake by three bridges on the lake surface. The center of the lake is a lake center island. Boating can be done on the lake surface. The park provides a variety of cruise ships, including ordinary pedal boats, as well as special naval battle ships and big yellow duck boats.

4 to 6 people can board each ship. The price is about 60 to 150 yuan per hour. Every winter when the lake freezes, an artificial ice and snow field will open on the lake. You can come here to skate and play with snow tubes. Lake Center Island: The location of Taoranting. The lake center island is the location of Taoranting and Cibei Nunnery. Taoranting is one of the four famous pavilions in Chinese history.

Cibei Nunnery is now a small museum, showing Li Dazhao’s life and the deeds of the May 4th Movement through some revolutionary cultural relics and pictures and texts. On the lake center island, there is also a tall stone tomb, which is the joint tomb of revolutionary martyr Gao Junyu and talented woman Shi Pingmei. The love story of the two is very moving, so many people come here to pay their respects.

In addition, the trees on the lake center island and around the lake are lush and weeping willows are graceful. The environment is beautiful. Walking and taking photos here are very good. In the evening, many people exercise around the lake. Huaxia Famous Pavilions Garden. The southwest side is the key area of the park, Huaxia Famous Pavilions Garden. Here is the location of famous pavilions from all over the country built by imitation.

Here you can see replicas of more than a dozen historical famous pavilions such as Lanting Pavilion, Zhixian Pavilion, and Zuiweng Pavilion. Each pavilion has a different shape and is unique. Moreover, the surrounding trees are graceful. Walking among them is very nice. Children’s Play Area. The north side area is located near the north gate. There are also some pavilions, waterside pavilions, and trees here.

You can walk and view the scenery. However, the main content is the children’s play area next to the north gate. There are more than a dozen entertainment items such as small trains, space walks, and bumper cars. Each item is about 15 to 40 yuan. It is suitable for bringing children to play. In addition, there are two free stone slides here, called Big Snow Mountain and Little Snow Mountain. Many local tourists will not only bring their children to play, but also personally experience it and recall the feeling of childhood.
