The Ten Miles of Lotus scenic area is located in Liucheng She Ethnic Township in the southern mountainous area of Wuyi County. It is adjacent to Niutoushan National Forest Park and Xiaohuangshan She Ethnic Township Scenic Area. In 2013, it was rated as China’s beautiful countryside. Here, surrounded by mountains and rivers, with ancient towers standing and superior ecology, the industrious She and Han people have cultivated one of China’s three famous lotuses (Xiang lotus, Jian lotus, and Xuan lotus), which was once listed as a tribute to the Qing court, on this fertile land – Xuan lotus. There are more than 850 varieties of ornamental lotuses, water lilies, seed lotuses, etc. planted in the scenic area, forming a unique landscape of ‘Ten miles of lotus in Xuanping gathering famous lotuses from all over the world’.
