Tengjiao Spring is located on the east side of Wangfu Pool Street, south of the South Gate Road of Daming Lake, close to Qifeng Bridge Street, and is named after its proximity to the Tengjiao Qifeng Alley to the west. The spring pool is rectangular, measuring 1 meter in length, 0.5 meters in width, and 1.5 meters in depth, surrounded by bluestone and meticulously square. In the year of Dingmao (AD 1867), a native of Licheng, Li Renjian, inscribed the name ‘Tengjiao Spring’. The spring water is sweet and clear, gushing from the rock holes. During the high water season, the water level in the spring pool is less than half a meter above the ground, making it easy to collect water with one’s hand. Many local residents and households come here to fetch water for washing clothes and vegetables, which is very convenient. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
