This year’s games have about 7,000 athletes from 35 teams of 56 ethnic groups across the country. The competitions include 18 competition events and about 170 performance events. The performance events are divided into three categories: competitive, skill-based, and comprehensive. These projects are all bred in the long-term social practice of production and life of various ethnic groups, with strong ethnic characteristics and regional characteristics, and are closely related to the economy and culture of various ethnic groups. Competition events include events such as firecrackers, pearl balls, wooden balls, cuqiu, single-bamboo drifting, swings, crossbows, gyroscopes, yajiaogao foot racing, board shoe racing, ethnic martial arts, ethnic-style wrestling, etc. In addition to competitiveness, these sports events more reflect fun and entertainment.
