The Hong Kong Asian Film Festival (HKAFF) is organized by the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival Association and co-organized by Broadway Cinematheque, making it the largest Asian film showcase platform in Hong Kong. Through film screenings, events, workshops, and collaborations with other platforms, it provides a platform for overseas and local filmmakers and audiences to exchange ideas and knowledge. Since 2005, the ‘Asian New Director Award’ has been established to promote the creation of young directors and to encourage emerging Asian directors with an independent and non-mainstream spirit. The opening dates are from 10/17 to 11/10, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
