The ‘Encounter in Macao – Portuguese and Chinese Cultural Festival’ has reached its sixth edition. Through this annual exchange event, taking culture as the bond and art as the carrier, it showcases the urban charm where Portuguese and Chinese cultures and arts converge. It continuously strengthens Macao’s role as the ‘Cultural Exchange Center between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries’. The sixth Portuguese and Chinese Cultural Festival will present a total of nearly 70 activities in seven major series. It will continue to be held in conjunction with the two-week-long ‘Lusofonia Carnival’. It will successively launch diversified activities such as the Portuguese and Chinese art annual exhibition, picture book exhibition, traditional song and dance performances, film exhibitions, concerts, and wine tasting workshops. These activities will be staged enthusiastically in places such as cultural heritage buildings full of historical charm, living communities, and modern theaters, blooming with the magnificent colors of the mutual integration of different regional cultures.
