The Bell Tower is located on Huancheng Road in Daliang Town. It was originally built in the 43rd year of the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty (1564). Initially constructed at the foot of Tiyun Mountain, it was relocated to its current location in the 4th year of the Longqing era of the Ming Dynasty (1570). The tower is a wooden and stone structure, with stone as the base, an arched gateway at the bottom for vehicles to pass through, and an upper structure consisting of 16 bays forming the tower, featuring double eaves and four columns. In the 29th year of the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty (1890), the Bell Tower was renovated. Currently, the tower houses a wooden plaque from the Kangxi era, which records: ‘The grand and sacred bell of the emperor, weighing a thousand catties, strikes at dawn and dusk, and its sound can be heard ten miles away.’ The original bell has been destroyed, and the existing bronze bell was recast during the Qianlong era. Since its relocation, the Bell Tower has undergone renovations in the 39th year of the Qianlong era (1774) and the 11th year of the Guangxu era (1885). It is open to the public all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
