The Tower of Buddhist Incense is the main building of the Summer Palace. It is 41 meters high, with three stories and four eaves on eight sides. It is built on a square platform 20 meters high in front of the Longevity Hill. Facing Kunming Lake in the south and backed by the Sea of Wisdom, the building complexes centered on it unfold symmetrically to both sides in an orderly manner, creating a situation like stars holding the moon.
It is extremely magnificent. It brings the Old Summer Palace and Changchun Garden in the east, the Jingming Garden and Jingyi Garden in the west, as well as the Longevity Hill and the beautiful scenery within a dozen miles around into its surroundings. Ingeniously integrating the ‘Three Hills and Five Gardens’ at that time into one, making it a large-scale imperial garden scenic area. Standing on the Tower of Buddhist Incense, one can have a panoramic view of the scenery within dozens of miles around. Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:00 to 16:00.Must Read
