On the sunny side of Wushan Mountain, a ganoderma lucidum absorbs the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and transforms into a human being named Yaoji. She falls in love with Aze, the tribal leader who strays into the dense forest. Aze brings Yaoji back to the tribe and holds a grand wedding. At the wedding banquet, the water demon Wu Zhiqi attacks. The two lead the villagers to resist bravely. In the resistance, both Aze and Yaoji are injured. The blood awakens Yaoji’s sealed memory and divine power. The awakened Yaoji calls on her sisters and defeats Wu Zhiqi. However, due to the water demon bringing disaster to the world, mountains collapse and rocks split, causing a huge flood. At a critical moment, Yaoji sacrifices herself and turns into a peak and is praised as the Oriental goddess by later generations.
