The Forbidden City’s ‘Lu Duan’ is a large-scale immersive family musical produced by the Palace Museum. It narrates the story of cultural heritage coming to life in the new era, focusing on the protection, inheritance, and innovative development of cultural relics. The protagonist, Lu Duan, created based on the prototype of the Ming Dynasty Wanli period’s enamel incense burner, is honored as the ‘Forbidden City’s Study Committee Member’ and serves as an envoy of cultural exchange, embodying the confidence and strength of traditional Chinese culture. The show is open all year round from 10:00 to 12:00 and 19:00 to 21:00.
