The former residence of the British Consulate in Xiamen, located at No. 5, Zhangzhou Road, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen, is a beautiful mansion hidden among the green trees. Today, it has become an exhibition hall of Xiamen Jinquan Coin Museum.
The former British Consulate building on Gulangyu Island is a three-story red-brick building. The corners are made of bricks and stones, and the structure is square and rigorous. The French windows are equipped with shutters to adjust the sunlight, block the wind and sand, and there are also fireplaces as decorations.
