The Former Residence of Moye is located in Xibang Village, Jingu Town, Anxi County, Fujian Province. Originally named “Yilou”, it is also known as “Wanxiang Villa”. It was first built in 1907. Zeng Zhenzhong, a Jinshi (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations) in the late Qing Dynasty, inscribed the name “Yilou” for the building. The former residence is a two-story Western-style building. There is a pond in front of the building, giving people a bright and elegant feeling.
