The site of the former Red Palace and Red Square in Haifeng is located at No. 13, South Renmin Road, Haicheng Town, Haifeng County, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. The Red Palace was originally the Haifeng Confucian Temple built in the Ming Dynasty. It was built in the 12th year of Hongwu (1379). It faces south and currently preserves buildings such as the泮 pool, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, and east-west corridors.


Among them, the construction area of Dacheng Hall is 240.7 square meters. In December 2016, the memorial hall of the site of the former Red Palace and Red Square in Haifeng was selected into the ‘National List of Red Tourism Attractions’. In November 2017, the memorial hall of the site of the former Red Palace and Red Square in Haifeng was awarded the honor of the fifth national civilized unit.
