The former site of Guangzhou Peasant Movement Institute was originally Panyu School Palace. Now it is also abbreviated as Peasant Movement Institute. It was built in 1370. In the former site of Peasant Movement Institute, the director’s office, educational affairs department, military training department, classroom, student dormitory and so on are arranged as they were originally, and supplemented by the exhibition ‘Restoration Display of the Former Site of Peasant Movement Institute’, which truthfully shows the history of the first to sixth Peasant Movement Institutes. At the same time, in line with the Party’s line, principles and policies, special exhibitions full of patriotism and revolutionary traditional education significance are held every year. The Minglun Hall and Guangji Hall in the east building of Panyu School Palace have also been restored. There are statues of Confucius and models of Guangdong Examination Hall on display, and the examination cubicles of imperial examinations have been restored. There are also exhibitions such as ‘Confucius and Confucianism’ and ‘Chinese Imperial Examination Culture’. Opening hours: closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 09:00 to 17:30 from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year.
