The history room of the Good Company Eight on Nanjing Road was completed in 1963. In April 1993, before the 30th anniversary of the naming of the company, it was expanded and renovated and renamed as the deeds exhibition hall. The exhibition hall covers an area of more than 1,200 square meters and is divided into an exhibition hall and a screening room. The exhibition hall area is about 900 square meters and is divided into three parts: First, ‘Cordial Care and Meticulous Cultivation’, mainly showing the care of the three generations of leaders of the Party, military commissions, headquarters, and military region leaders, as well as leaders of Shanghai for the company, and there are notes of leaders’ inscriptions for the company.
Second, ‘Fighting Course and Forging Ahead’, mainly showing the history and deeds experience of Company Eight from its establishment to its entry into Shanghai. Third, ‘Keeping Pace with the Times and Facing the Future’, mainly showing the achievements made by Company Eight in company construction in recent ten years, as well as the situation of Company Eight participating in the construction of various key projects in Shanghai and the deep affection of the people for the company. The screening room area is about 50 square meters. There is a large-screen projection TV inside. Documentaries such as ‘Good Company Eight, Known All over the World’ and ‘Walking with the Times’ are available for 80 people to watch at the same time. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday throughout the year; closed all day on Saturday and Sunday throughout the year. Currently only open to groups and not to individual tourists.
