The scenic area of ‘The Jiangnan Under Heaven’ is located in Lanxi City, in the central and western part of Zhejiang Province. It extends from the Nanmen Wetland Park in the east to the Hengshan Scenic Area in the west, from the Yangtze River Sponge Ecological Park in the south to the Lanjiang Bridge in the north, with a total area of approximately 3.3 square kilometers. Surrounded by three rivers and three bridges, the three rivers converge and flow through, forming a beautiful island by alluvial deposition.
On the shore, two mountains stand towering. Just as the saying goes, ‘Three rivers converge, two mountains stand opposite each other, and one island stands out alone.’ Sceneries such as Gathering for Spectacular Views, Li Yu Expressing Sentiments, Yangtze River Condensing Greenness, Confluence of Three Rivers, Seeking Fragrance at the South Gate, Lost in Ancient Alleys, Sails on the Central Isle, Moonlight Reflected on the Ripples of Gu River, and Reminiscing at the West Gate form a beautiful picture scroll of ‘The Jiangnan Under Heaven’. In July this year, the scenic area of ‘The Jiangnan Under Heaven’ passed the landscape quality evaluation of a national 4A-level tourist scenic area and was included in the preparatory list for creation.
