Nestled along the central coastal region of Zhejiang, Xiangshan Film and Television City is situated in the picturesque Xinqiao Town Dantang Port Ecological Tourism Area. Composed of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States City, the ‘The Return of the Condor Heroes’ City was meticulously designed and planned by its chief architect, Qian Yunxuan, in the style of the Song Dynasty. Covering an area of 400,000 square meters, it is divided into six major sections: the main gate area, the introduction area, the Xiangcheng area, the mountain area, the lake area, and the support area.
Within these sections, eight scenic spots have been established, including the ancient battlefield, workshops, village streets, Guiyun Village, the Tomb of the Living Dead, Lu Family Manor, Xiangyang City, and Mongolian yurts, as well as over 160 individual buildings. In addition, five grand government courtyards have been constructed. The city also boasts the largest artificial banyan forest in the country, covering an area of 1,400 square meters, and an artificial cave system spanning 3,500 square meters. The vastness of the ancient battlefield is unparalleled among numerous film cities in the country.Stars frequently visit the scenic area, and apart from witnessing the filming process, the film base also hosts irregular meet-and-greet events with fans, allowing tourists to have ‘zero-distance’ interactions with celebrities. Watching film shoots, inviting stars for photos, requesting autographs, and engaging with celebrities have become one of the main attractions of visiting the film base.
