The Shisanling Reservoir is located in Changping District, Beijing. The dam of the reservoir is built between Mangshan Mountain and Hanbaoshan Mountain and is of inclined wall type. On the outer slope of the dam are engraved five large characters of ‘Shisanling Reservoir’, inlaid with white marble stones on the purple andesite slope protection, which is very spectacular. The Shisanling Reservoir is a reservoir in a mountain basin.

The mountains around the reservoir stand tall. Especially the majestic Mangshan Mountain on the north bank rises abruptly. The wide water surface reflects the mountains, giving people a feeling of ‘a flat lake emerging from a high gorge’. At the junction between the foot of the mountain and the water surface, there are many bays and inlets, and the scenery is secluded and pleasant. The Shisanling Reservoir has been closed and it is impossible to enter now.

Tourists can tour outside. The full text opening hours are open all day throughout the year.
