On the way from Wenzen Road to Banling Palace, there is a “Strange Slope”. The Strange Slope is about 50 meters long and 10 meters wide. What makes this slope strange is that objects will roll from the bottom of the slope to the top. No matter how many times you test, it is always the case.
Later, the surveyors from the Municipal Highway Bureau came to the site of the “Strange Slope” on Wenzen Road and measured the “Strange Slope”. The surveyors took measurements every 5 meters for a total of 70 meters. The results confirmed that the so-called “bottom of the slope” is actually 1.395 meters higher than the “top of the slope”, and the slope is 2%. The surveyors came to the conclusion that the “Strange Slope” is actually a visual error caused by the surrounding reference objects.

Relevant experts from the Highway Bureau analyzed that the “Strange Slope” on Wenzen Road is located near an intersection. From here, the upper slope looks higher and the lower slope looks lower. Combining the two, this road seems to be an uphill road. Scientific measurement data prove that the “Strange Slope” is actually not strange; it is our own eyes that deceive us.
