Zhengda Guangming Hall boasts a single-eave Xieshan-style roof with a curved ridge, spanning seven bays wide. The hall stands majestically, with a moon platform in front that measures twelve zhang in length and four zhang in depth, and is approximately four chi in height, contributing to the solemn and grand atmosphere of the place.
Adjacent to the main hall are the eastern and western wing halls, each with five bays, similar in scale to the ‘Renshou Hall’ within the Summer Palace today. The eastern wing hall is named Dongming Hall, and behind it, a towering Shou Mountain stands proudly. Together with the Fuhai to the east of the Old Summer Palace, these features symbolize ‘Longevity as Great as the Southern Mountain, Fortune as Abundant as the Eastern Sea’.
The rugged bamboo stones and lush ancient pines further embellish Zhengda Guangming Hall, adding a beautiful and enchanting charm to the structure. The hall is open all year round and accessible twenty-four hours a day, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening conditions.
