The immersive performance ‘Dream of the Great Wall’ takes the historical stories of the Great Wall, spanning over two thousand years, as its main thread, with Badaling as the core setting. Through four chapters – ‘A Brick,’ ‘A Banner,’ ‘A Flower,’ and ‘A Poem’ – it creates six classic plays: ‘Bright Moon of the Qin Dynasty,’ ‘Majestic Might of the Han Dynasty,’ ‘Flying Flowers of the Tang Dynasty,’ ‘Glory of the Ming Dynasty,’ ‘Unity of the Six Directions,’ and ‘Nations Coming to Court.’ These plays showcase the splendor of dynasties throughout history, vividly recreating the brilliant Chinese atmosphere and the touching, rich poetic charm.
