The Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument is located on the northern side of Fengguan Mountain in Fengcheng Town. It was constructed in May 1958. The monument is made of stone and has a square plan consisting of a base, body, and top. The base is waisted, and the top is designed with four eaves. It stands at a total height of 7 meters, surrounded by a flat seat railing. Facing north to south, the monument’s front surface is inscribed with the seven large characters ‘Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument’ in regular script, flanked by the inscriptions ‘Revolutionary martyrs are immortal forever!’ and ‘The immortal name and the long-lasting spirit!’ On the back, it records the heroic deeds of 12 revolutionary martyrs, including Li Shi, Secretary of the Central Committee of Anxi County of the Communist Party of China, Chen Fengwu, the Political Commissar of the Second Detachment of the Red Army of Workers and Peasants in Southern Fujian, Li Shiquan, the detachment commander of the Second Detachment, and Fu Youzhi, the chairman of the Soviet Government of Guanpeng District.
