We are always in search of the most suitable haven, an outdoor paradise where one can dance freely, capturing the rhythm of the tides and listening to the narrative of nature. Now, we are finally realizing this encounter. Initiated by the band Tong Yang, the Houlang Life Festival gathers a multitude of outstanding musicians and art groups to integrate music and art into natural settings, capturing the trajectory of waves through time, thus initiating a seamless dialogue with nature.
Houlang Life Festival invites you to embark on this journey into nature in the pastoral wilderness. ‘Perching on mountains and gazing at the sea, creating waves in the forest’ – the discussion about people and space has never ceased. The evolution of life aesthetics seems to be a concrete projection of the subtle chemical reaction between urbanization and nature. The love felt when touching nature helps us differentiate between mundane daily life and shining moments. When immersed in the natural beauty of the scene, sound itself becomes a medium, connecting the continuous flow of life.
The Houlang Life Festival symbolizes a return to and absorption of nature, allowing music and consciousness to flow naturally after dissolving frameworks and boundaries, like breathing, like waves. We will use nature as a medium to invite you to relax and feel the growth of all things, as well as the surge of every new wave. At the same time, the Houlang Life Festival can also be seen as a deliberate ‘derailment’ from habitual life, a subjective reconstruction of natural scenes, aiming to awaken the connection between music, art, and life in the mountains and pastures.
After being in the hustle and bustle of the city for a long time, we return to nature, breaking free from boredom, collecting the gifts of nature – the chirping of birds and insects, the echoes of the wilderness, using rhythm as a guide, we attempt to find and awaken this ‘natural flowing life field’, unlocking the shackles of the city, and allowing the body to return to the tides of the mountains.
