Yunjusi Temple is located in Fangshan District, Beijing, approximately 70 kilometers away from the city center. Originally built during the Sui Dynasty, it has a rich historical significance. Since ancient times, inscriptions of Buddhist scriptures have been carved on the stone slabs at Yunjusi Temple, and the small mountain behind the temple, known as Shi Jing Mountain, derives its name from these inscriptions. Today, Yunjusi Temple is a popular destination for worship and prayer, with a thriving incense culture. One of the most revered attractions within the temple is the discovered flesh Buddha relics, which draw many devotees who come to pay their respects and seek blessings for themselves and their loved ones. Incense purchased within the temple costs around 10 yuan.
At the base of the small mountain behind the temple, there is an exhibition hall displaying stone script sutras, some of which are exhibited outside in the underground palace, allowing visitors to freely explore and admire the stone inscriptions. Additionally, there is an ancient tower on the back mountain that dates back a thousand years to the Tang Dynasty, exuding a sense of history, making it an ideal spot for photography. The temple is open all year round from 09:00 to 16:00. Concessions are offered to the elderly: those aged 60 and above from both the city and other regions enter for free. Children under 18 years old and individuals with disabilities, holding valid disability certificates, also enjoy free admission. For additional information, please note that the above details are for reference only, and specific details should be confirmed with the Yunjusi Temple scenic area on the day of your visit.
