The North Palace Gate serves as the northern entrance to the Summer Palace. It was originally the main gate of the Qingyi Garden, the predecessor of the Summer Palace, during the reign of Emperor Qianlong. Facing south and sitting north, it is a two-story gatehouse with a facade of seven bays. The opening hours are subject to the daily operational status.
