The Tomb of Wen Zhong is located in Fushan Park. Walk up along the stone slab steps on the west side of the King of Yue Palace. After passing a triangular resting pavilion and continuing up for about thirty meters, there is a small stone slab fork road to the northwest on the right. After walking more than twenty meters, you can see the Tomb of Wen Zhong. The tomb is circular and faces northeast. Wen Zhong, with the courtesy name Shaoqin, was from the State of Chu.
He was once a grand minister of the State of Yue and was the main formulator of Goujian’s policy of rejuvenating Yue and destroying Wu. Goujian is a person who can share hardships but not enjoy happiness together. Fan Li deeply understood Goujian’s character and retired after achieving success. Wen Zhong, relying on his merits after destroying Wu, did not listen to Fan Li’s persuasion and still remained an official by Goujian’s side. Eventually, he was suspected by Goujian and was ordered to commit suicide by sword and was buried in Longshan. Wen Zhong and Fan Li are both the main strategists of the State of Yue. They are more than 700 years earlier than Zhuge Liang.
