The Twenty-Four Histories Academy is a significant cultural investment by the OCT Cultural Group, a subsidiary of the large-scale cultural tourism conglomerate, Overseas Chinese Town Group, with an investment exceeding hundreds of millions of yuan. It is designed around the Intellectual Property (IP) of the ‘Twenty-Four Histories’ to create an Eastern-style academy. The academy encompasses a series of exhibitions on the ‘Twenty-Four Histories’ documents, a group of characteristic bookstores including Dongpo Book House, Xiaoliangmao Parent-Child Picture Book House, Hua Xi Tea Gathering, and Memory Folk Music Evening.

It also hosts three major literary and artistic competitions in composition, picture books, and music, with the mission of ‘making reading better.’ The academy integrates reading, travel, social interaction, and education to create a cultural home for urban dwellers.

Located in the GanKeng Ancient Town Cultural Tourism Area of Longgang, Shenzhen, the academy covers an area of 30,000 square meters. It employs Eastern garden architectural aesthetics for spatial creation, combining natural and architectural resources, and is strategically placed amidst mountains, water, forests, and springs. In the future, the Twenty-Four Histories Academy will expand nationwide, integrating local historical and cultural frameworks to create cultural landmarks and artistic homes, recreating the grand cultural pattern of the ‘Twenty-Four Histories’ and the millennial charm of Chinese academies, contributing to the great rejuvenation of Chinese culture with a model academy.
