The White Crane Ridge is located in the Yangtze River north of Fuling City, Chongqing. This natural stone ridge is about 1,600 meters in length and has an average width of 15 meters. It is named after the frequent gathering of white cranes in the early years. The stone carvings on the ridge began before 764 AD in the second year of Guangde in the Tang Dynasty. There are currently 165 inscriptions (18 stone fish, 2 statues of Guanyin, and 1 white crane), mainly distributed on the middle section of the stone ridge about 220 meters long.
