The Water Drill Platform is the site where Zheng Chenggong drilled his navy. The four characters ‘Minhai Xiongfeng’ on the huge cliff are round, full, smooth and vigorous. On another huge rock in the front right, there is a five-character quatrain written by Zheng Chenggong: “The residence of rites, music, clothing and cap; The family of Confucius and Mencius in literature. The Southern Mountain opens a longevity city; The East Sea brews flowing rosy clouds.
” It is said that this poem was engraved by imitating Zheng Chenggong’s handwriting. There are also two seals engraved at the bottom, ‘Zheng Sen’s Private Seal’ and ‘Chenggong’. Standing on the Water Drill Platform, people will always be reminded of the spectacular scene in those years when Zheng Chenggong commanded with calmness here, with the flags fluttering on the river, numerous boats competing on the water, and the warriors eager to fight for the reunification of the motherland.Opening hours: Open 24 hours a day throughout the year
