The Yuanmingyuan Exhibition Hall is located within the Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park in Beijing, to the west of the Yuanmingyuan’s Western-style architecture scenic area, Yuanxinguan. The exhibition hall consists of two exhibition rooms, with the majority of the first and second exhibition rooms focusing on the construction and prosperity of Yuanmingyuan. The second exhibition room features materials related to the disaster and recovery of Yuanmingyuan.


The exhibition hall displays 150 exhibits, including a panoramic bird’s-eye view oil painting that recreates the splendor of Yuanmingyuan, a panoramic sand table, images of ‘Yuanmingyuan’s Forty Views’ and ‘Western-style Architecture Twenty Views’ that showcase the former beautiful garden architecture, architectural models of some scenic areas, as well as historical photos, books, and some physical objects related to the looting and recovery of Yuanmingyuan.




Opening hours: 08:00-18:00 all year round; 09:00-17:00 for service facilities. Parking lot: [Yuanmingyuan Surface Parking Lot] with a reference price of ¥6/hour; Address: Take subway line 4, Daxing Line (Anheqiao North direction), get off at Yuanmingyuan Station (Exit C), and it is located 430 meters away. Number of parking spaces: 110.


Tour guide: The Yuanmingyuan Exhibition Hall Visitor Center provides electronic guide services. Collection location and time: South Gate (8:20-16:00); East Gate (9:20-16:00). Wheelchair rental: The Visitor Service Center offers wheelchair rental services, for details, please consult on-site staff. Restrooms: Restrooms are available at various points within the Yuanmingyuan park area.


Restaurants: There are several fast-food restaurants within the Yuanmingyuan park area, including San Kong Bridge Fast Food, Da Shui Fa Fast Food, and Tian Xin Shui Mian Fast Food.


Souvenir shops: There are souvenir shops within the Yuanmingyuan park area, such as Jianbi Pavilion Beijing Gift Shop and Exhibition Hall Gift Shop.
