The Qianfo Cliff Scenic Area in Beijing is the only group of stone-carved Buddha statues in North China, with over a thousand reliefs and Buddha statues, each with a unique demeanor. Its natural scenery and cultural landscapes complement each other, earning it the reputation of ‘the Zhangjiajie of the North’ from the UNESCO ecological survey team.

Within the Qianfo Cliff Scenic Area, the vegetation is lush, with a forest coverage rate of 85%, wildflowers scattered throughout, and the green mountains transforming into poetry; here, streams flow continuously, sometimes gently meandering through the verdant valleys, sometimes rushing down from cliffs, playing the sounds of nature’s music of high mountains and flowing waters; occasional bird songs add a touch of spirituality to the empty valleys.

The peaks within the Qianfo Cliff Scenic Area resemble various figures, some like the Guanyin Bodhisattva, some like the jovial Maitreya, some like archers drawing their bows, and some like ascetics ascending to heaven after enlightenment, all vividly portrayed among the emerald peaks. The villagers occasionally discovered the unexplored Qianfo Cliff on the mountain, with reliefs and line carvings of Buddha statues on the cliff walls, each with a unique demeanor, numbering over a thousand, and Buddhist terms are also engraved on the rocks and cliffs, hence the name Qianfo Cliff.
