According to the Hangzhou Prefecture Annals of the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty: ‘The mountain cave is only about six feet wide. Gradually, it becomes wider and can accommodate a thousand people. According to legend, in the past, when there was a disaster caused by bandits, many local people took refuge here. Now, pottery bottles and stoves still remain.’

The whole cave is divided into upper, middle and lower chambers. The upper chamber is about 80 meters long and about 20 meters wide. At its widest point, it is 50 meters wide. The height is less than 2 meters and it slopes at an angle of 20 to 30 degrees. The middle cave is an inclined cave about 50 meters long and 1 to 2 meters wide. There are three steep steps. The third step is like a vertical shaft and is extremely steep and difficult to walk. The lower cave has a gentle slope, inclining at about 12 degrees. The height is only 1 to 1.5 meters.

Inside the cave, there are karst landscapes such as stalactites and stone waterfalls, as well as a large number of collapsed rock blocks. Open all year round and open all day. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
