In the northern area of the old city of Tongzhou, on the north side of Dacheng Street (originally the site of Beijing filigree inlay factory. Now it is located at Courtyard 1, Dacheng Street, Tongzhou – on the north side of Sikong Community). The Confucian Temple (also known as the School Palace), the Buddhist Youshengjiao Temple (also commonly known as the Tower Nunnery), and the Taoist Ziqin Palace (also commonly known as the Red Boy Temple).


These three independently existing temples are arranged in a ‘pin’ shape in close proximity on the west side of the administrative office wall of Tongzhou prefecture. On the west side of the Youshengjiao Temple, the Ran Deng Fo Sheli Pagoda stands towering. Thus, an ancient architectural complex of ‘three temples and one pagoda’ is formed. It is located on the west bank of the northern end of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and on the south bank of the estuary of the Tonghui River.


Together, they become one of the six major scenic areas for Beijing’s Humanistic Olympics – the Tongzhou Canal Cultural Scenic Area. Nowadays, people briefly refer to it as the ‘Three Temples’. Opening hours: Open from 08:30 to 16:00 from January 1st to December 31st. Preferential policies: Supplementary note: 1. Children under 1.2 meters in height are exempt from the entrance ticket to the scenic area.


Elderly people over 65 years old holding the preferential card accepted locally in Beijing, active servicemen holding military officer certificates, disabled people holding disability certificates, retired cadres with retirement certificates, and retired cadres with retirement certificates are exempt from the entrance ticket to the scenic area. 2.
