Tian Lai Valley Scenic Area

Established in 2008, the Tian Lai Valley Scenic Area is located seven kilometers to the northeast of Haiyang City, covering an area of 4.5 square kilometers. The scenic area boasts an advantageous geographical location, surrounded by mountains on three sides with the terrain resembling a gourd. Upon entering through a narrow passage, visitors will suddenly find themselves in an open space, reminiscent of the idyllic retreat described by Tao Yuanming, hence its alternative name, ‘Peach Blossom Valley’.

The scenic area is renowned for its peculiar mountains, beautiful waters, and dense pine forests, embodying the perfect harmony of favorable timing, location, and human unity. It is primarily composed of a tourism reception area, a leisure sports area, a Buddhist cultural area, a mountain sightseeing area, and a vacation ecological area, with over thirty cultural landscapes; among them, the 9.9-meter-tall open-air Buddha statue is one of the largest Maitreya Buddha statues in the country.

The scenic area also features a green ecological restaurant, vacation wooden houses, and a business leisure center, providing visitors with an experience akin to returning to a pristine paradise. It is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00, with specific operating conditions subject to daily opening status.
