Tian Ti Mountain Scenic Area is located in the western suburbs of Xingtai City, making it an excellent destination for hiking and mountain climbing around Xingtai. The landscape of Tian Ti Mountain is steep and rugged, with sheer cliffs and a perilous stone staircase that ascends the mountain, hence its name. This stone staircase is now the hiking trail within the scenic area.
Along the trail, there are thrilling suspension bridges and hanging bridges, and dozens of natural caves of various shapes on both sides of the mountain, which house statues of deities, Buddha, stone carvings, and other historical relics to visit. At the foot of Tian Ti Mountain, there is an underground river cave named Jin Shui Dong, where visitors can enter by boat to appreciate the beauty of the karst cave.

The scenic area is not large and can be toured on foot. It takes about 2-3 hours to hike up and down the mountain. Generally, visitors to Tian Ti Mountain Scenic Area will first enter Jin Shui Dong, then climb the mountain, which can be completed in about 3-4 hours. The entrance of the scenic area is on the east side, and after entering through the mountain gate, visitors can quickly reach the entrance of Jin Shui Dong.

The first half of Jin Shui Dong is a waterway, about 400 meters long, requiring a boat ride, while the second half is a dry path, about 700 meters long, requiring visitors to disembark and walk through the cave. The entire cave exploration takes about 1 hour. Inside Jin Shui Dong, there are many underground halls, with the larger ones being over 200 square meters. Walking through them feels like discovering a hidden world, and the cave is mainly composed of stalactites and stalagmites, showcasing typical karst cave scenery. Under the colorful lights, the scenery is fantastic and magnificent, with each scene worth appreciating.

Following the dry path to the end of the cave leads to another exit of Jin Shui Dong, which is located at the foot of the mountain near the starting point of the mountain climbing trail. Visitors who choose not to enter the cave can also walk from the main gate to this point to begin their climb. The mountain climbing trail consists of several hundred stone steps leading to the summit, which are quite steep and require a certain level of physical strength.

During the climb, visitors will encounter landscape formations such as the Stone Monkey Bathing in the Wind and the Journey to the West, and from the outside of the Jade Emperor Temple at the summit, one can overlook the scenery below. Additionally, the suspension bridges and hanging bridges along the trail offer thrilling experiences. What’s more important are the dozens of caves on the mountain, each with a unique shape, such as the Seven-Star Cave with seven skylights and the Ancient Buddha Cave with statues from the Song Dynasty. Many of these caves contain ancient stone carvings or Buddha statues, making them well worth a visit.

The climbing route starts from the west side of the mountain and descends from the east side after reaching the summit. Near the Yuan Meng Dong, visitors can choose to experience the thrilling slide down the mountain. After sliding or walking down the steps, visitors can return.
