Tianheng Plank Road is located in what was ancient Dengzhou, now known as Penglai, and is one of the well-preserved ancient naval bases in China.
Referred to as a unique wonder of Jiaodong, the plank road spans 220 meters in length, stands 2 meters high, and is 20 meters above the cliff ground, starting from the Huixian Cave and ending at the Laohu Cave. This plank road turns the sheer cliffs of Zhuji Rock into a smooth path. Walking on it can induce a sense of tension, especially when there is a section suspended over the sea. Beneath are the depths of the ocean, and the creaking of the plank road’s wooden boards adds to the sense of danger. It is difficult to experience this without being there, as curiosity, excitement, tension, and timidity intermingle. The attraction is open year-round from 07:30 to 17:00.
