This temple is located in Shantou, where visitors can appreciate various Chaozhou handicrafts. For instance, the stone relief on the temple walls and the painted wood carvings on the beams and columns possess high aesthetic value. Particularly noteworthy are the exquisitely carved stone pillars with openwork dragon designs, featuring statues of the Eight Immortals, showcasing superb craftsmanship. The temple’s roof is adorned with a unique Chaozhou craft known as ’embedded porcelain’ art. This technique uses pre-fired colored ceramic pieces to create various dramatic patterns, with lifelike figures that stand resilient against the elements. This art form has now been widely applied to folk architecture. The temple is open all day, every day from January 1st to December 31st.
