This temple is built against a cave. There were Indian monks practicing in seclusion here during the Han Dynasty. The construction date is unknown. It has always been a place for secluded cultivation and enlightenment, commonly known as Yan’an Temple. In the seventeenth year of Kaihuang in the Sui Dynasty, the guardian god of Master Zhiyi manifested auspiciousness here. It is said that Emperor Kangxi also once stayed here.
