Tongbo Palace is located about 20 kilometers northwest of the county town on Mount Tongbo, surrounded by nine peaks and a clear stream flowing in front, and is the ancestral court of the Southern School of Chinese Taoism. Entering through the poker mountain gate, the sequence is Lingguan Hall, Zhenwu Hall, Imperial Stele Pavilion, Main Hall, and Ziyang Building. There are side halls on both sides. To the left of the Main Hall is the Tai Chi Hall, where Ge Xianweng (Xuan) is enshrined, and to the right is the hall enshrining You Bi Zhenjun Wang Zijin. The Ziyang Building houses a statue of Zhang Boduan, with three rooms on each side. The Eastern and Western Taoist Courts also have three rooms each with a corridor in between. Dormitories and kitchens are located outside the walls. There are a total of a hundred halls and more than eight hundred stones of incense fields. The tenth-generation master of the Longmen sect, Qing Yu (Dongli), presides over the temple, assisted by his disciples Fang Yiding (Lan Pi), Min Yide (Lan Yun), and dozens of others in managing the temple affairs. The Southern School ancestral court flourishes. In 1973, the Tongbo Reservoir was completed and filled with water, submerging the site of Tongbo Palace, and some buildings and cultural relics were moved to Minghe Temple. The opening hours are from 8:00 to 16:00 all year round.
