Tianxin Temple. The name ‘Tianxin’ has unfathomable Buddhist meaning. According to Xiang Chu’s ‘Records of Banan’, Tianxin Temple was built in the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. In 1867 (the sixth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty), it was repaired and the Guandi Hall was built. Later, the Mahavira Hall was built and the Dharma Hall was renovated. Before liberation, it was one of the four Buddhist treasure lands in Chongqing area. Many important Buddhist activities were held here.
