Tianyuan Park, situated in the Lugouqiao Township of Fengtai District, is one of the ‘Suburban Park Ring’ construction projects in Beijing’s urban greening isolation area. The park’s boundaries are defined by Meishikou Road to the north, Qingta West Road to the east, Shuanglin South Road to the south, and Shuanglin East Road to the west.
The central theme of Tianyuan Park, “Heaven is round and Earth is square,” embodies the aspirations and hopes of the people in its overall design. Covering a total planned area of 32.8 hectares, construction began in 2008, and the park welcomed its first visitors in May 2009. Tianyuan Park is open to the public year-round, operating 24 hours a day.
