Tiger Valley Dark River Drift is located in the heart of the Yingxi Peak Forest Corridor, between Jiulong and Huanghua towns in the southwest of Yingde City. Also known as Tiger Valley Dark River Drift, it spans 3.8 kilometers with a total drop of 96 meters, snaking through over 800 meters of mountain body. It is reputed to be the only dark river drift in the country that penetrates through the mountain.
Under the impact of rapids, the rubber boat surges forward like an arrow released from the bow. Rapids and rocks come at you, almost overturning the boat, yet it is thrillingly safe. The rubber boat resolutely enters a narrow, 1-meter-wide, 80-meter-long rapid slide, racing down like lightning. After several bouts of ‘violent torment’, the boat leisurely drifts in the calm stream. Suddenly, a gentle breeze blows, and people dampened by the splashing waves feel refreshed and comfortable.
A grand cave entrance appears before you, marking the beginning of the dark river drift. Inside, the cliffs are towering and the stalactites are of various shapes, a marvel of nature. Illuminated by colorful lights, they present a dazzling and beautiful sight. Unconsciously, the rubber boat exits the cave, and after a period of gentle drifting, the nearly two-hour journey ends amidst laughter and calm. The operating hours are from April 24th to October 8th, open from 14:00 to 15:30.
