The Time Ball Tower is located next to the former Marine Police Headquarters at 1881 in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is a characteristic building of the Victorian era. It was put into use in 1885 and told time to passing ships, allowing ships to adjust their chronometers to calculate their accurate positions.
