Tinglin Town, located in Jinshan District, Shanghai, has been formed since 6000 years ago. It is situated in the western part of the ancient coastline known as ‘Gang Shen’. In 1970, archaeological discoveries were made at two ancient cultural sites: one to the east of the temple square on the south side of the temple, and the other at the northwest corner of Zhongshan Street, by the east bank of Zhu Jia Port. These sites revealed cultural layers from the late Neolithic Age (Liangzhu culture) and artifacts from the Shang, Zhou, and Han dynasties. Notably, artifacts such as double-handled everted black pottery pots and double-rimmed sealed black pottery jars confirm that the ancestors of Tinglin people have been living and thriving in this area for over 4000 years. The exact opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
