The Tongyuanmen Ancient City Wall is located in Wucheng District, Jinhua City. In history, outside Tongyuanmen was a small wharf and an important waterway gateway into Jinhua City. Tongyuanmen was also the main passage for people in Jinhua to go to Lanxi, Hangzhou and other places by water at that time. ‘Tongyuan’ means ‘leading to the distance’. After research and verification, the Tongyuanmen Ancient City Wall has important historical value and is one of the two ancient city wall ruins currently listed as municipal-level cultural relic protection units. Open all year round and open all day.
